This is an old review but I felt it needed to be posted.  I love these books so much! This is book 1 of 3 (so far.)  I am now friends with the author Leonardo Ramirez. (Which doesn’t change the way I review my books he wrote.)  I will have to write a post on how we became friends.

But here is my review for Jupiter Chronicles.

This book is very awesome. Yeah I know I am sounding like my 9 and 6 year old using the word awesome but when they described it using the word “awesome” there is no better word I could come up with to describe this story. I found the timing for reading this book to be great because in this book it mentions Nikola Tesla and my 9 year old daughter is studying Tesla for homeschool. She thought it pretty neat that the book mentioned him.

You know you have a winning book on your hands when your kids don’t want you to stop reading. I was trying to stop on chapter 9 so I could cook dinner. “Mom just read to chapter 10 then it will be on an even number.” said my 9 year old daughter. Which really meant hey mom you know you want to read just one more chapter too. They are right I did. I didn’t want to stop either. We all could have finished the book that day if it wasn’t late and time for dinner. As I ended for the day my 6 year old said “Awe mom!” The kids got up the next morning and finished their school work very quickly just so we could finish the book.

Not only did my kids gets swept away into this imaginary land but I did as well. Our imaginations ran wild as we continued to read. What would happen when they landed on Jupiter? Who would they find? My daughter was pretty good in guessing what would happen next. I really don’t want to give away anything about the book more that what is written above in the Synopsis because you really want to read this book without knowing too much. It really helps your kids imagination grow.

After reading the book the kids wanted to draw pictures right away. They both drew pictures of what they thought a Doomslayer would look like and also what Stinky Frank would look like.

This is a book you don’t want to miss reading! We can’t wait for the next book to come out!
