Tea tree oil has many uses and while it is not my favorite smelling oil I use it a lot. My top things I have used tea tree oil for is cold sores, ear aches and zits.

For cold sores: I apply tea tree directly to my cold sore. It helps to dry up the cold sore and get rid of it much quicker than most treatments you buy in the store. My mom and sister use tea tree oil for this purpose as well.

For ear aches: Do not put oil inside your ear! I put a drop of oil on a cotton ball and place it inside my ear but making sure it points away from the ear canal. I also will place a drop behind my ear as well. Tea tree oil helps with the pain of an earache.

For zits: I place a drop directly on the zit. I like to use it on zits that are painful.

*Please start with diluting your oil with a carrier oil to err on the side of caution. Some oils are okay to use neat but please start off with diluting until you figure out which oils you can use neat.
