Valentines Day has changed quicker than I thought it would.  Not so long ago I feel like we were picking little cards out for the kids to give to their friends.  Seeing who had a crush on who.  All innocent and fun.  We goofed around and used photo props, ate candy together, enjoyed heart shaped pizza, and just enjoyed time together as a family.

Now I sit here and realize that it has all changed.  Those little cards are no more, the youngest two haven’t even thought about Valentines and didn’t know what day it was. My oldest who is engaged left last night to be with her fiance, and my oldest son has no interest in it either.

Sometimes it hurts my mama heart to let my feelings actually be.  They are growing up and I have to move on to another phase in my life.  While I am not ready they all seem to be.  Growing up can be good in ways but at the same time mama may not always be ready.
