We recently created a daily chore chart for Lincoln. He’s four years old so I did a little googling for age appropriate chores and found some that work for us! If he completes all chores for the day, he gets a sticker. If he gets a sticker for every weekday, he gets a surprise reward! I just wrote it out and laminated the page so it’s dry erase. Then I printed a calendar for his stickers. We left a blank spot to either be bedtime or to allow for a randomly assigned task that day.
Since he’s younger and typical household tasks like cleaning or laundry are a little out of his reach, I added some daily educational goals which have been exciting! Sometimes instead of ABCs, I ask him to spell his name. Sometimes instead of counting, we do some simple addition. It’s flexible and that makes it fun!
So far, it’s been a great way to give our days structure and productivity. I love it. I highly recommend doing this for your kids, but personalize it to work in your home! This is new to me, so I’d love to hear suggestions for chores you assign to your kids!
