Let’s talk Homeschooling

So I have been homeschooling going on 3 years now.  I started homeschooling my daughter when she was in 2nd grade.  The reason she even went to public school was because I was slow at getting information about how to homeschool.  I went to a conference and a woman said if you don’t just jump into it you never will.  So I just did it.  I jumped right into homeschooling.  Janette also homeschools her kids as well.  Just another thing we both have in common.

I just wanted to give you a few of my favorite sites that I get my homeschool stuff from. Mainly the sites are for elementary aged children.  I don’t have any older than that yet. I actually don’t have a curriculum other than using Lesson Pathways or using books that my friends have given me.

I have used Lesson Pathways since I started homeschooling.  It is free to use it.  You just have to sign up.  It is curriculum for K-5.  You can print worksheets, there are games your kids can play, there is a list of stories to read for each age and some pretty awesome project ideas.  It has been a great way to not spend a fortune on school books.

A few other sites that I print worksheets from are these…Just click the picture to go to the link.

This one has a lot of worksheets…

This one for spelling words…

This one has a lot of different things to print…

These are just a few site that I have found useful and I hope that if you homeschool they will help you as well.  What are some of your favorite sites?

  1. good for you for homeschooling! That would be my first choice raising my kids, but I feel I do not have the patience. We end up having to reteach all the propaganda they learn in school anyway!!
