Dr. Seuss Ideas Part 2

Ok here is my second part to my ideas.

Bartholomew and the Oobleck:

Ideas: Make some Oobleck.  Go here for a recipe.  If you want to have some editable Oobleck why not put some green food coloring in some vanilla pudding!

Marvin K. Mooney

Make some cards and on the cards put the different ways Marvin is told to leave.  Have the kids draw one of the cards and act it out.  So if they pull out “skis”  They pretending the are leaving on skis.

If I ran the zoo.

For this play and animal mix up game.  Print off animals here and cut them out.  Let the kids mix them up 🙂

Horton Hears a Who!

Here is another fun game idea. Take a picture of Horton and a picture of JoJo.  Print them out.  Put quiet on Horton’s side and loud on JoJo’s side.  Show one side then the other.  On the quiet side have the kids say “We are here, we are here.” Quietly and on the other side have them say it loudly.

Here are my pictures.  I just found some coloring pages and wrote loud and quiet on them.

The Sneetches

For this book I am going to of course talk about how being different is ok.  Of course this is something that my kids know already but this is a great story just for that.  I have cut out green construction paper stars and we will put glitter on them.

Sleep Book

Then tomorrow as my kids go to bed.  This will be the story I read to them.

I hope you all like my Dr. Seuss Ideas.
