Dr. Seuss has a birthday coming up!

One of our favorite things to do as a family is to celebrate Dr. Seuss’ birthday.  We have so much fun reading his books together and doing activities.  I have a few ideas that I would like to share with you that we have done in the past.  Remember his birthday is March 2nd which is this Sunday 🙂

For the book Go Dog Go:

We had hot dogs to go…I wrapped some hot dogs in croissants.

Green Eggs and Ham…We had green eggs and green cinnamon buns.  My kids don’t like ham.

The Foot Book…We did a foot twister like game and decorated feet.

One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish…We use what we had to make a fishing pole and added a magnet to the end.  We had construction paper fish with paper clips on them.

Cat in the Hat…We made hats out of paper plate and poster board.

There is a Wocket in my Pocket…I made a simple little thing out of construction a paper.  I made different pockets and left them open.  I then printed of a picture of a Wocket found online and hid it for each kid to find.  They loved this!

Horton Hears a Who…Some yummy treats made out of cupcakes and craft sticks and sugar cookies and kabob sticks.

For some more ideas check out my previous posts here and here.

Have fun on Seuss Day!
