Fixin’ to Eat Southern Cooking (review)

I have grown up eating Southern food all my life.  I love everything about it and I always love finding a cookbook that has good Southern food recipes.

As I was going through this book it made me think of my mom cooking.  She had a few of the same recipes that were in here.  I always loved my mom’s cooking and I hope someday to cook as good as her.

The only thing I don’t really care for in the book is the lessons on pairing what alcoholic beverages with what types of meals.  I am not a drinker so it doesn’t really apply to me.  I know this can be helpful to other people who do drink so I am sure it would be good for them.

My favorite recipes in the book are the Buttermilk Drop Biscuits (Who doesn’t love biscuits?), Prime Rib Roast, Slow Cooker Pork Barbecue Sandwiches and the Black-Eyed Peas.

So if you are looking for a good Southern Cookbook then you should check out Fixin’ to Eat by Katie Moseman. It can be purchased on Amazon for $11.99 as a paperback or you can get the Kindle Version for $0.99. Click here to purchase.

This would make a great Christmas gift for Southerners or your Southerner at heart.

*Not I was not paid for my review.  This is my honest opinion of the book above.
